On March 5—6, 2009, in Petrozavodsk, the 9^th special tourist exhibition “Tourist Karelia 2009” will take place. This exhibition is a very important event for tourist business of the Republic of Karelia.

On October 29—30, in Petrozavodsk, the fourth conference “International Relations of Municipalities” will take place. City Administration and Karelian Research Center of Russian Academy of Science are the organizers.

On October 25, a Fair of initiatives of the youth will take place in Petrozavodsk.

From October 24 to December 7, at the exhibition hall of museum and strict nature reserve “Kizhi”, there will be an exhibition “Tour to the Country of Two Epics” dated for ther 160^th anniversary of complete version of Kalevala and 150^th anniversary of the first record of Russian epics in Zaonezhje.

On October 22—24, 2008, the first all-Russian Holiday of Poetry “I am a Slavic Singer Klyuev” will take place in the Republic of Karelia with the support from the Fund “Russkii Mir” and Administration of Petrozavodsk Urban Okrug.Organizers of the holiday are ME “Social and Cultural Center” and Karelian Regional Non-governmental Organization “Poetry Theater KREDO”.

From September 18 to October 12, 2008, at the City Exhibition Hall of Petrozavodsk, III International Exhibition “Aquabiennale” will take place under the support from the Dept. of Culture of the Administration of Petrozavodsk Urban Okrug and International non-governmental fund “Knowledge”.

On September 17, there will be an opening ceremony of the exhibition “Ilya Rastaturin. Ten Painting Sketches” at Media Cenger “Vûõîä”.

On August 7, the Builder’s Day, the Head of Petrozavodsk Urban Okrug V. N. Maslyakov congratulates all employees of civil construction industry with their professional holiday and thanks them for their job.
